Commercial strategy for creative founders, fractional consultants, and independent experts.
Designing your portfolio business around your expertise.
Sound Familiar?
You've spent years building expertise, relationships and a reputation.
Now you're thinking differently about how you want to work.
That might be because of redundancy, changing priorities, making room for new ventures, or recognising there's still a long way to go before retirement.
You’re Here because…
Perhaps you're expanding beyond referrals.
Perhaps you're exploring consultancy, advisory, board positions or fractional work.
Perhaps you've built a successful business and know you need to be more visible to attract speaking, media or strategic partnerships.
Or perhaps you're building new revenue streams around the expertise and interests you've spent years cultivating.
The Next Chapter Of Work
The next chapter doesn’t have to be about starting again.
It should leverage your expertise, your network, and your impact to build an ecosystem of intentionally designed work.
The challenge is rarely lack of experience. It’s often communicating it. And visibility.
Whatever the next working chapter looks like, your positioning needs to evolve with it.
That’s Where We Work Togehter
The goal isn't to reinvent yourself.
It's to package, position and communicate your expertise so the right clients, partners and opportunities immediately understand the problems you solve, the perspective you bring, and the impact you can have.
That's where we work together.
If this sounds like you, book a 1:1 Office Hours call to start.
What Is The Feral C-SuiteThe Feral C-Suite grew from my own pursuit to build greater sovereignty over the next chapter of my working life, after leaving the C-Suite in 2025.
I opted in to redundancy at 44, with a long way to go until retirement. I want to make these years count, designed around my expertise, interests, and passions.
Helping individuals do the same has become a passion, and the majority of my consulting work.
If you're curious about the philosophy behind this work, you can read more about The Feral C-Suite here.

Questions I Get Asked Most Often
-
Personal Brand Architecture is the strategic process of packaging, positioning, and commercialising your expertise, reputation, interests and opportunities into a coherent ecosystem, to support your next chapter of work.
It isn't about becoming an influencer or creating a polished online persona.
It's about understanding what people should know you for, how your different ideas and offers fit together, which opportunities deserve your attention, and how your experience can support the next chapter of your working life.
The outcome isn't simply a stronger personal brand.
It's greater clarity about what you're building, how to explain it, what people can buy, and where your time and energy should go next.
-
A portfolio business is a business built around multiple complementary revenue streams rather than a single service, employer or product.
That might include advisory work, consulting, writing, speaking, products, experiences, partnerships, investments or other ventures that draw on the same expertise.
The goal is not to start ten different businesses. It's to build an ecosystem where each part strengthens the others, creating greater resilience, flexibility and ownership over how you work.
Every portfolio business looks different. The right architecture depends on your expertise, ambitions and the life you're trying to build.
If you're exploring how your own experience could become a more intentional portfolio business, Personal Brand Architecture is usually the best place to start.
-
You may have built an excellent reputation over 15+ years, yet still find yourself overly reliant on referrals or struggling to explain what you do to new potential clients.
Often, your current positioning no longer reflects the work you want to create, or the clients and partnerships you want to attract.
Peers often only see us through the context of our previous roles or work, while potential clients in adjacent industries don't yet have a clear picture of where we fit.
When our expertise spans decades and multiple disciplines, it's easy to over-explain everything we do, rather than making it obvious why we're the right person to solve a particular problem.
That's a positioning and packaging challenge, not a credibility problem.
Personal Brand Architecture helps translate your established reputation into greater leverage.
Whether that's attracting different clients, launching new offers, expanding into advisory work, entering a new industry or building a broader portfolio business, the goal is to make it easier for the right people to quickly understand your expertise and where you create the most impact.
We'll look at your positioning, offer ladder, visibility, media and content strategy, identifying what's working, what's missing and what should come next. Your final strategy and roadmap includes practical recommendations on where a done-for-you specialist may be worthwhile and where a done-by-you approach makes more sense.
It isn't about manufacturing credibility. It's about helping the credibility you've already earned travel further.
-
This is one of the core questions Personal Brand Architecture is designed to answer.
After fifteen plus years in a career, your experience may span several roles, industries, interests and chapters.
Often the problem is trying to convey all of your experience into a consultancy package, rather than one or two clear areas that’s easy for a potential client to say ‘yes’ to.
We identify the threads connecting what you repeatedly deliver in various forms, decide which parts belong in the next version of your work, and translate that into clear positioning, offers and opportunities.
The result is not a list of everything you have ever done. It is a coherent architecture that helps people quickly understand what problem you solve for them.
-
This is absolutely not a ‘become an influencer’ session. Nor will I suggest posting every day or turning your private life into content.
Visibility and content creation is a powerful way to show your thought leadership, pattern recognition, client transformation, what problems you solve, and client transformation you bring, but there are many ways to express this.
During a Personal Brand Architecture session, we’ll consider writing, speaking, podcasts, and content creation across all platforms, and determine which makes sense for you personally with your availability, time constraints, and comfortability.
The right visibility strategy should support the work you want to build, not create another full-time job.
-
Absolutely.
In fact, Office Hours can be particularly valuable before you make a major transition, while you still have the stability and space to think strategically.
Together, we'll look at the expertise, reputation, relationships and network you've already built, and explore what could become advisory work, consulting, writing, speaking, products, partnerships or the foundations of a future portfolio business.
The goal isn't to persuade you to leave your job. It's to help you understand your options, build leverage, strengthen your positioning, and begin engaging your network before you decide to make the leap.
If you're still in full-time employment, Office Hours or the three-session Office Hours package is usually the best place to start.
Personal Brand Architecture is often most valuable once you're ready to build the bigger picture.
-
I personally struggle with this, so I understand.
Experienced people often have no shortage of ideas. The challenge is deciding which ideas belong together, which fit the next chapter, which have genuine commercial potential and which are distractions.
We look at the full picture: your expertise, reputation, audience, interests, desired way of working and the opportunities already available to you.
From there, we can identify what should come first, what can wait and what does not need to be built at all.
The goal is not to turn every interest into a business. It’s to create a more intentional ecosystem around the right ones.
I will tell you where I think your most leverage, quick route to income and impact is. I’ll also be very honest if you’re creating a distraction for yourself, spreading yourself too thin, or procrastinating.
If you're trying to decide what deserves your attention next, Personal Brand Architecture gives us the space to look at the whole picture together.
-
Many brand consultants work on your business.
Personal Brand Architecture begins with you: the expertise, reputation, relationships, interests and ideas you have accumulated across your career.
This is focused you as a founder, solopreneur, or expert, and how you want to leverage your currency now in your business, and for your future.
Perhaps it’s board positions, speaking engagements, media coverage, shifting industries, launching a passion project or non-profit etc.
We’ll look at:
What is the full value of what you know?
What should you become known for next?
What offers or revenue streams could credibly grow from that expertise?
How should your different businesses, projects, or interests sit together?
What belongs under your name, what needs its own brand and what should be left behind?
-
Choose Office Hours when you have one defined question, decision or challenge and want focused outside perspective.
Office Hours can be useful for:
pressure-testing an idea
choosing between options
reviewing an offer or piece of positioning
deciding what to prioritise
getting unstuck on a specific business or career question
Choose a Personal Brand Architecture session when the issue is broader and you need an holistic overview and roadmap you can take away.
That may include your positioning, personal narrative, offer structure, revenue ecosystem, audience, visibility and the wider direction of your next chapter.
If you have just been laid off, or left your job and aren’t sure what’s next, I suggest Office Hours to start. I also offer 3 x packs at a discount.
Investing in Personal Brand Architecture will be most impactful when you’re ready to get back out there.
If your challenge is one decision or a crossroads, Office Hours is usually the right place to start.
If you're thinking more broadly about your positioning, offers and future direction, Personal Brand Architecture is designed for exactly this kind of deep dive.

I am developing a future Feral C-Suite format for founders, creative executives and consultants who want ongoing strategic conversation, and peer community.
In the meantime, you can join the Feral C-Suite newsletter to hear about new essays, future gatherings, workshops and community events as they're announced.
If you become a Personal Brand Architecture client, I offer a small number of Concierge places each quarter by invitation only.
-
Not everyone needs one-to-one advisory work immediately.
If you're still exploring your next chapter, the best place to begin is by joining the Feral C-Suite mailing list.
You'll hear about new essays, Office Hours, future community gatherings, workshops, supper clubs, Field Trips and other ways to stay connected as this ecosystem continues to grow.
If adventures outside with other ambitious women is more your speed, you can join the Wild Duchess for upcoming Field Trips.
Then, when the time feels right, you'll already be part of the conversation.

Great question!
I've spent than 25 years helping build careers, brands and creative businesses at the highest level of the entertainment industry, for both independent and mainstream artists. My last in-house role was Chief Creative Officer at Red Bull’s record company.
My work across creative marketing and strategy has been recognised with a Cannes Lion, two Clio Music Awards and a Webby Award.
I've spoken internationally on creative leadership, storytelling, business ecosystems, emerging tech, and creativity for nearly 20 years.
Stages I’ve been honoured to speak on include SXSW, Mondo (NYC), DEW Expo, Norwegian Oscar Week in Los Angeles, SLUSH Helsinki, You Are In Control in Reykjavik, The Great Escape in UK, and others in Ireland, India, and Australia.
Today, I apply the same strategic thinking that built artist’s businesses to founders, fractional consultants, and creative business owners building the next chapter of their work.
Alongside advising clients, I'm building my own portfolio business, so the challenges and accomplishments we work through are ones I've actively navigated too.
If you're looking for someone who combines creative instinct with commercial strategy and isn't afraid to challenge your thinking, that's where I'm most useful.
I am not a coach. I am a commercial and creative thinker, and will act as your C-Suite advisor during our sessions. I will tell you what I think works specific to you, with action steps to take.
If this sounds aligned to your vision for your work ecosystem, then I look forward to meeting you!
